About Wicked Clear Speech Therapy

  • We work with children, adults, and families to build stronger, clearer, and more confident communication skills — at every stage of life.

    Our specialties include:
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) — empowering people of all ages to express themselves when speech alone isn’t enough, including those with autism, aphasia, dementia, or brain injury
Speech sound and language development — supporting children and adults in speaking clearly and understanding language with confidence
Stuttering and fluency — helping reduce struggle and build ease and self-assurance in communication
Social communication — for children and adults with or without an autism diagnosis, focused on conversation, perspective-taking, and connection
Gender-affirming voice training — exploring and shaping a voice that feels authentic, comfortable, and true to you
Cognitive-communication therapy — for individuals navigating dementia, brain injury, or stroke recovery, to support memory, problem-solving, and daily communication

All therapy is personalized, evidence-based, and affirming — helping every client strengthen their voice, confidence, and connection.

  • Yes! We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy for clients across Massachusetts.
Online speech therapy works well for many of our services and is a great option for busy families or professionals.

  • We’ll decide this together based on your goals and needs — typically once or twice per week. We’ll also discuss your comfort level, progress, and scheduling flexibility at our free consultation.

  • Every client’s journey is different. Some see significant progress in a few months; others benefit from longer-term support.

We’ll set clear, measurable goals together and review progress regularly.

  • Yes! With your permission, we can collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to support communication across settings — especially for clients using AAC or enrolled in school-based programs.

  • We understand that life happens! We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be billed at the full rate, except in emergencies.

Payment, Insurance, & Superbills

  • No. Wicked Clear Speech Therapy is an out-of-network, private-pay provider, meaning payment is made directly rather than through insurance.

This approach keeps therapy flexible, transparent, and focused entirely on your goals — not on what an insurance company defines as “medically necessary.”

While many insurance-based clinics are wonderful, clients are often surprised when claims are denied or partially reimbursed, leaving them with unexpected, out-of-pocket bills for sessions they thought were covered. By paying privately, you always know exactly what your care will cost — with no surprise balances later on.

To make therapy more accessible, sliding-scale opportunities are available for clients with financial need. You can request a reduced rate confidentially through a short form and discuss what feels sustainable for you — no income documentation or lengthy process required.

Wicked Clear accepts HSA/FSA cards and provides Superbills you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement (depending on your plan).

  • Private pay gives you more freedom, privacy, and flexibility in your care.

    • You set the goals — not an insurance reviewer.

    • You choose the schedule — no waitlists or session caps.

    • You maintain privacy — your records stay between you and your clinician.

    • You receive flexible care — sessions can adapt as your needs change (speech, language, voice, cognitive skills, caregiver coaching, and more).

    • You always know the cost up front — no hidden fees or denied claims later.

This model allows us to provide the kind of personalized, evidence-based, and affirming therapy that leads to real, lasting progress — without the red tape.

  • A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes everything your insurance company needs to process out-of-network reimbursement.
You pay Wicked Clear Speech Therapy directly, and we provide a superbill that lists:

    • Service dates

    • CPT (procedure) and ICD-10 (diagnosis) codes

    • The fee charged and amount paid

You then submit this document through your insurance member portal. Many clients receive 50–80% reimbursement, depending on their plan.

  • It’s usually a simple process:

    1. Log in to your insurance portal and find “Submit a claim” or “Out-of-network reimbursement.”

    2. Upload your superbill (we’ll provide one monthly or upon request).

    3. The insurance company reimburses you directly by check or direct deposit.

We encourage you to call your insurer first and ask:

    • “Do I have out-of-network benefits for speech therapy (CPT 92507)?”

    • “What percentage of each session will be reimbursed?”

    • “Where can I submit superbills?”

  • Yes! You can call your insurance company and ask for your out-of-network reimbursement rate for speech therapy. Many of our clients receive 50–80% reimbursement depending on their plan and deductible.

  • Yes! We gladly accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.
Speech therapy is a qualified medical expense under IRS rules — even for private pay clients.

You can use your HSA/FSA card to pay for sessions just like a regular debit or credit card. You’ll receive a detailed receipt or superbill for your records or plan administrator.

  • Clients pay at the time of service by credit card, HSA/FSA card, or bank transfer. You’ll receive a paid receipt and (if you wish) a superbill to submit to your insurance.

  • Yes! We offer a 10-session package at a discounted rate (about 10% off) for clients who prefer to pay in advance.
Prepaid sessions can be used over six months and are ideal for consistent therapy schedules.
